Easter Weekend....

We had a rather busy yet fun weekend. There was no school Fri. or Mon. so we had lots of time to play with no normal responsibilities.

Friday the girls and I went with my mom to the Arts Festival, the girls had a good time and loved getting a snow cone! It started out chilly, but ended up getting quite hot, but all in all a fun day- the rest of the night we just hung out at home!

Saturday morning we were up and at em to get to the Easter Egg Hunt on time at 9 cuz we all know they last all of 1 min. if that and if your late well then you missed it! So we got ready and out the door and there with about 10 min. to spare-perfect! The girls had  a blast, Molly liked this one much more with some coaxing she went off and gathered her eggs. Maggie had no probably remembering  what this was all about and went for it! They were so proud of themselves. Then we went to see Broadhead's for a bit and then we headed into town to get a few things. That night "Grandma Grape" had come into town for the night, so the girls and I went to see her for a bit while Clint went to work.

After Clint went to work the girls and I went to my moms so she could give them their Easter presents. You would have thought the world stopped when these little girls saw they got "giant" LalaLoopsy... Maggie was so happy with her little "baby" one which she named "Spot" and Molly absolutely LOVES hers- it sleeps with her, eats with her, rides in the seat belt with her and so on which in turn Maggie has to have hers do the same things as Molly's! Molly's  name is "Coco" and Molly tells people her name is "Coco-Sprinkle, Chocolate, Sundae" or something to that nature anyways!

Sunday we got up early to head to church at 9 since church was so early the Easter Bunny came after! The girls looked so adorable in their Easter Dresses, we went outside and had took some pictures right before church- First they needed to get their silly picture before they would give me their sweet "Ballerina smiles" It was nice to have church first thing in the morning to really remember that Easter is all about our Savior and not eggs and bunnies! It really set the mood for the rest of the day!

-They sure looked beautiful in those Easter ensembles silly faces and all!

The Easter Bunny did not disappoint- he spilled the M&Ms again, which seams to be a favorite thing for the girls and the first thing they tell people. Each girl got some new sandals, swimsuit, outfit, bubbles, coloring book, and some candy- they got a big thing of chalk to share- Molly got the Lalaloopsy Ferris Wheel which she has been wanting for forever, and Maggie got the LalaLoopsy Choo Choo Train and a new Lalaloopsy since the train didn't come with one and Molly's did... To say they were thrilled would be an understatement - we are all about Lalaloopsy right now and it is okay with me- they got some money from my dad and we asked what they were going to buy with it and you guessed it "LalaLoopsy"

After we did the Easter Bunny my family came over to the house My mom, her sister Jill's family,Marissa and Brett and Grandma Grape and Grandpa Kent all came over to have dinner of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Home made Fried Chicken made by Grandma Grape and Salads, Fruit, Chips- and at the end everyone got to decorate their own sugar cookie- It was really fun and even more fun we could host at our house since we have grass now! The kids had yet another Easter Egg hunt where the Grandma's put money in an egg for each kid-  Molly loves playing with her "friends" as she calls them and Maggie was just content to eat and socialize with the adults!
Molly and Grandma Grape
 Watching Bugs
Cody took the girls on the tramp before the party started- Maggie was LOVING this!
Sweet Molly waiting for her turn...

Getting ready to not eat the cookie, but lick the frosting off and go back for more frosting 2 more times before we had to put a stop to that...Look at those rosy cheeks- couldn't have asked for better weather for a party!
Monday my friend Kim invited us to the Splash Pad- the girls had a blast and loved playing with Kim's Nieces and Nephew- Molly was way braver than she has been at a splash pad yet, so I call that a success! Maggie's swim suit got wet and she came to me and said "Mommy, my shimshute is all wet, tate it off please" I don't think she knew it was suppose to be wet, silly girl! She warmed up to the idea and later found her hat in the swim bag and thought she was pretty special-
Look at Molly girl right in the center of the splash pad- she sure is a social thing and LOVES to play with kids even if she has never met them before she is ready to be their best friend and gives her whole heart into being a nice girl and being friends with everyone!
Cute little babes in their new swim suites- I love littles in swimsuits I can hardly believe we are so close to summer break- I can see many many more days at splash pads and pools-Can't wait and neither can the girls!
To say our extended weekend was a blast would be accurate, but with that comes complete exhaustion for both us and the girls- We got home changed their clothes and as I was going through the mail Maggie fell right asleep at the counter- Rosy little cheeks and sweet red  lips- I'd call our Easter weekend a hug success!

Spring is in the air....

Boy does it seem like I have been busy all day every day the last little while! It has been a fun busy though! I will just jump in with everything with pictures...

Molly calls this her "spring" dress, and has been begging to wear it since we bought it because it was just so "springily and beautifus"
When Zach was down we went to the carousel with him and then to dinner after. The girls could have gone one 50 times while Zach went on twice and both times sat on the bench playing with his dinosaur. It was so funny! The girls especially Maggie asks about the "Tarastel" all the time and when we can go back!

We had some good "Big Maggie" time the last weekend and Daisy time too- I only took this one picture, we went and saw Daisy dance at a competition, then we met them at the park later for pizza and cake- Molly was playing with the kids the whole time, while Maggie played for a bit then ended at the table where she ate 3 cupcakes, 2 pieces of pizza, a cookie or two and then some cake! That kid can eat and LOVES sugar- hence the frosting on her face!

Maggie thought it would be funny to "lick" "baby Maggie" and see how she would react- Lil Maggie could have cared less and just sat there with this face the WHOLE time, we were laughing so hard it went on for a bit- she may need therapy when she gets older! (Big Maggie might kill me for putting this on here-o-well!)
The girls were invited to Vann's birthday party to ride horses, they were so excited- Molly had to have her hair like Jessie from Toy Story and when she was on the horse she said "Giddy Up Bulls-Eye" Then Maggie could hardly wait to be put on the horse she practically lept out of my arms- On her turn she just yelled, "Ye Haw" It was so much fun.

We went to an Easter Egg hunt at Tonaquint park  this past Monday- last year it was a bust way too many people this year seemed to be better at least in Maggie's age-she filled her bucket right up I had to make her stop so she didn't take too many!
Molly getting ready for her turn- it was windy and she was cold so she was already grumpy...
They said GO and she just stood there and said "I cant go alone you come too and wouldnt even pick up an egg practically touching her feet" She just started to bawl along with 3 other girls right next to her- too much pressure I guess, but funny non-the-less! Hopefully this weekend she doesn't get wigged out! Bless her little tender heart..
Maggie had lots so we just shared and they were both happy girls in the end!
Molly is still LOVING pre-school I am sad its almost over for this year at least- She made this adorable chick the other day and was So proud of him.. They have been learning all about Spring the last 2 weeks and she is loving everything that comes with it...
Especially the day they did everything "rainbow" this girl LOVES rainbows!
We also busted out the Egg die this week and the girl had a blast we had Callaway and Ashley over and it was a lot of fun we only had one cup of die spill which I thought was pretty lucky since we had 3 kids 4 and under on the counter "helping" Maggie was the most interested and keeps looking at her eggs in the fridge!

Molly's sticker egg that she can't wait for the Easter Bunny to see...
 Maggie's sticker egg....

Probably the most EXCITING part of our last couple weeks we got out backyard done- well almost done the grass is in now we just need rock around the edges and on the one side, but the GRASS is what I have been waiting for.It has been so nice to send the girls out back where I know they are locked in and they can just play as they please! I never thought I would be so excited to have grass in all my life-The girls were equally excited and Sean from  Landshark Landscaping couldn't get the grass in fast enough- (we had a few landscapers come to do it and non of them could figure out the sprinkler part that was a royal mess so finally Sean was the one to figure it out or we may NEVER had had grass... )They well we watched every step with great anticipation till we could play on it! It is wonderful!

Before- Weeds weeds and more weeds...

 Checking out the new Sod...
Watching as Sean laid the first few rows..
Finally enough complete to walk on- Molly said "Mom, I just need to walk on it and just dance only for 2 min. is that ok" then when I asked her what she wanted to wear that day she said "Something Brown and Green to match the grass"
All FINISHED- boy have we been waiting for this......

Our first picnic on the grass, there will be plenty more where that came from that's for sure!
Love the GRASS and the cute girl that's posing in front of it!!!
I know this season is just getting started and it has a lot of busy, but fun busy-parks, splash pads, swimming, BBQs and all around good times ahead- Bring on Spring/Summer!!!!
