Christmas...Lotsa fun!

WOW! Is about all I can say, I can't believe Christmas has come and gone in the blink of an eye really. It sure has helped having the Holidays to make this pregnancy seem to fly by. Now for the dreaded slow boring month of January!

Our Christmas couldn't have been any better. This year we spent the majority of the time with Clint's family since it was their turn. The advantage to living in the same town as both parents is we get to see both for the Holidays which makes things pretty crazy, but really fun.

Christmas Eve: We had three little munchkins crawling/running/screaming around at the Broadhead house. Molly was on a sugar high pretty much the entire week and it took her forever to go to sleep because she just wanted to play. We ate dinner and just enjoyed each others company till all the kiddos were asleep, then we played some games with all the adults. Molly fell asleep over there, but we took her home to sleep in her own bed since we knew she would sleep better. Santa came to the Broadhead's for Molly so we woke up and drove over first thing that morning. Molly loves her uncle Matt so much- Also, Molly found a love for these cherries on the salad and ate every last one right off the top.

Christmas Day: Santa left Molly's stocking at our house so she could have a little fun while we got ready to head the grandma's her most favorite thing most definitely was her Dora toothpaste, that has made brushing her teeth so much easier because she loves it so much. We then headed to Broadhead's to see what Santa brought and open all our other presents. The babies loved everything Molly got and would swarm right toward her for everything it was pretty funny. As we were opening things Molly and the babies kept wanting to play with the old toys that were in the basement. I guess they don't need much to keep them happy right?

After all the fun at the Broadhead's we headed over to my parents house where Molly continued to get spoiled, she actually still has a present to open because she was just done after all the commotion. After that we came home took a nap and then back to Broadhead's for more Christmas cheer. Uncle KyKy got to call which was probably the highlight of the night, it was hard to keep the babies quiet enough so that everyone could hear, but we managed and Molly also managed to get into a bottle of Vaseline in Janet's room and smear it all over her new clothes and Janet's carpet- I was not a happy mommy, but it was a small thing and Molly was pretty proud of herself for putting the "lotion" on.

After all the commotion the babies went to sleep and the adults played "cowboy" for quite a while. Then we came home and hit the sack, I was totally wiped so were Clint and Molly. It was such a glorious day, Molly got a lot of fun things and so did Clint and I. It was so fun to spend so much time with family and remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Molly with her stocking.....Santa came to Molly-she must have been a good girl

Santa came through with the "purple bike"-That face says it all, pure bliss! This is Molly before seeing what Santa brought, we walked into the room and every person had a camera or video camera facing right at her, she was a bit nervous about what was going on. It was pretty funny.

Opening Presents
Molly on her bike with attacking babies....Grandpa helping Molly open a present... Cute little Zachary and Mya
Molly got this cute little car and drum set from my parents along with some other things including a baby bed/baby, but Molly loved them both so much and kept going back and forth and taking her new "purple baby" wherever she went.
I surprised Clint with his dream item- He has wanted a TV for quite a while and finally I just decided this was the perfect time. He was totally surprised and couldn't stop smiling. It was just perfect. Clint got me a "flip" video, I just love it-it is perfect to keep in my bag and pull out whenever I see fit. Later in the day he took Molly out to help her try to ride her bike. She likes to pedal backwards so she isn't going to far just yet.
This is all Molly's Christmas loot- She made out like a champ and loves each and every thing. I think her most favorite thing is still her bike she just loves to sit on it and when we leave the house she says "bu-bye bike".

Vegas: The day after Christmas we all went down to Vegas for the day and spent the night. It was a lot of fun and we got in some good shopping, our great steal of the day was a double stroller we have been eyeing that we found on sale @ Babies-R-Us. The kids loved the Carousel @ the mall and Molly laughed on the whole ride. It was a great way to end a great week.
Now we are sorta back into the swing of things, Clint is still out of school for another week and I don't have to tend until school starts either, so we are just enjoying hanging out and doing our own thing. Thanks everyone for a great Christmas we loved every second of the Holiday and can't wait to see what this next year brings.

Merry Christmas....

Away in a manger,
no crib for His bed,
The little Lord Jesus
lay down his sweet head.
The stars in the sky
looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus,
asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing,
the poor Baby wakes,
But little Lord Jesus,
no crying He makes;
I love Thee, Lord Jesus,
look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle
till morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay,
Close by me forever,
and love me, I pray!
Bless all the dear children
in Thy tender care
And take us to heaven,
to Live with Thee there.

Merry Christmas!!!

Just a bit more....

I have a few other random things that we have been doing lately so I wanted to get all caught up before Christmas....

First up: Ward Christmas Party: Clint is on the committee so we get to help out with these things. We had a breakfast and after we all ate Santa Came- In fact the same Santa at the Dickens Festival came to our ward party. He was dressed in his red and white jamies and all the kids got to wear their jamies and ask him any Christmas question they could think of. Some of the littler kids only lasted about the first half, but Molly sat down with the big kids for at least the beginning then her and Bentley wanted to run and play. Santa was so cute and jolly in his jamies and Molly followed him out to his car and said "bu-bye Santa, Ho ho ho". She LOVES Santa Claus.Next: We spent last weekend watching these cute girls. We have been watching them when their parents go on over-nighters since their littlest was 1. They are always such a hoot, and we never come back without some great stories. 3 girls + Molly = a whole lotta drama, but good drama at that. Clint and I just sit back, watch, and laugh at some of the things that go on. We love doing this and will probably do it till they are all grown up. Molly was in heaven with all their "big girl" toys, and couldn't get enough of the "Littlest Pet Shops" She was mauled to death by all three, but loved every second and loved following them around.
Move Time: We have been excited to take Molly to see "The Princess and the Frog" movie, when she was little she went with us to the movies all the time, now if it isn't a kid show there is no way she would sit and behave, so we don't take her very often. When this movie was going to come out I told Clint we should take Molly on a date night and go to that movie and dinner. We went and she loved it she felt like such a big girl on the chair by herself and sat through almost the WHOLE movie. Then afterword we went to Red Robin and she had "Prys"(Fries) and some other things. She was in her glory and I think she felt special it was all about her.
(Clint didnt know I was taking his picture, he was playing a game with Molly while we waited)
Clint is the biggest movie fan ever. He LOVES the movies, even if it is a little girl cartoon!
Molly sitting in her own seat waiting for the movie to start.

Potty Time: Well as most know Molly was potty trained, then she took a step back and wanted nothing to do with it. She was still little so we just rolled with the flow, well recently after taking a break we have begun the challenge of re-potty training my little diva. She does fairly well, still has accidents, but is much better than she used to be. After Christmas we are going to hit this full force since we have a very LONG January ahead of us....
Last but Not Least: This is Molly's Christmas Dress... I absolutely love it and found it on sale last Christmas. She looks so beautiful in it and loves to "do circles" in her dress and twirl everywhere. She even went to nursery all by herself the first week without me being in there since I was just released. I have been with her every time up until now and she loved it and felt like such a big girl. She is growing up so fast, I love watching her achieve new things and yet she still always wants to snuggle. I wouldn't have it any other way. She is getting exited for Christmas and to see her cousins. She is a little obsessed with the "babies" that will be coming to visit.

Tid Bits....

We have been going, going it seems since Molly's Birthday really. I have a lot of random pictures of things we have done and wanted to get caught up on the blog. I also haven't done an update on Molly for a while so maybe a little of that too.

About a month ago or so, Molly started to really get into her baby. She likes to take it places and sometimes insists on bringing it and buckling it in the car. She likes to sleep with it most of the time and is so sweet and caring with her baby. She even made sure to put her panties on the baby.(in the picture below) She really likes to feed the baby whatever snack or drink she has and pushes her baby all over in the stroller. Hopefully she is this sweet and loving with her "real" baby sister when she comes. I think she will be fine and probably be a great little "mother" to her baby sister. This is just some of Molly's bed head, sometimes she wakes up with the craziest hair. (also in the above picture)
She figured out that her stool was a great way to get to the counter. She pulled the "cany house" close enough to pick off the candy and frosting. I guess that is what they are for, but now that is all she wants to do is stand at the counter and eat from her house. We have since moved the house too far back for her to reach, but she still moves her stool to the counter and attempts to eat her house.
Our First Snow of the year:
Molly LOVES the snow, she did last year and I knew she would this year. Molly loves to eat ice and such and when she figured out she could eat the snow she was in heaven. She would rather sit and eat the snow than do anything else. There wasn't much so eating it was probably the best option. She got a little cold, but loved wearing her hat, coat, and gloves. She loves to wear her coat. Even if it is not cold.
Throwing a snow ball...
O she LOVED the snow....
Eating the snow....
Playing with Bentley in the Snow.. I think she was attempting to give him a kiss.. They are best friends and Love to play.

Make-Up:
Molly found one of my old makeup bags under the sink with some make-up in it and she did the following: She put in on her eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and even ate a little bit. She must have watched me enough to know what she is doing. She was totally into it and so proud of herself. She later found some blush and did the same thing.
O what a beauty she is..
She should be a professional Make-up artist. Any takers?

Molly Update:
This blog is pretty much a Molly update, but here are some of her latest:
  • She knows the letters: A, B, P,M,O,L,Y,J
  • She knows all her colors including white and black
  • She sings her ABC's but says B for just about every letter
  • She likes to count, but loves to go from 2 to 5- we are working on this
  • She is talking all the time, but still speaks more Chinese than anything- I have to translate most things for the people she is talking to.
  • Her favorite Foods are: Cheese, Apples, Pasta, Sandwiches, salad, Bananas, and any fruit of Veggie really
  • She loves "pop"- it is limited, but she asks for it all the time
  • She loves to lay on her belly and read her books on the floor in her room
  • Went to her first play "The Nutcracker Ballet" the other night and sat through the whole thing and can't stop talking about the dancing bear.
  • Loves to get into peoples "spots" after they move
  • I seriously think she has grown like an inch or two in just a month- she seems really tall all of the sudden and has gained about 2 pounds:)
  • Her hair is getting SO long- we can do real piggie tails and a real pony tail without all the hair falling out
  • Is so full of energy, but loves to snuggle more than anything. She stops in her tracks just to come give me a hug/kiss or just to sit on my lap and lay her head on my chest or shoulders. I hope the next baby is just as snuggly.
She is my girl and I love her to pieces. She makes us so happy and keeps us laughing especially with some of the things she says. She wakes up and comes into our room in the mornings and says "Mommy, you happy" how could you not be happy after that. It makes my whole day and I wouldn't have it any other way. We are getting excited for Christmas with all her cousins and can't wait to talk to Uncle Ky on the phone- Maybe him and Molly can speak some Chinese together:)

"Ho, Ho, Ho"

I have been waiting to take Molly to see Santa until the Dickens Festival, and this weekend we did just that. Anyways, right when we got there I busted through the festival while my mom pushed Molly in the stroller so that I could get a spot in line. Well right when we got there he had to "feed his reindeer" so it was either wait for an hour or go home and go back the next day. Well, since Molly's hair was done, and she was a dressed and ready to rock I opted to hang out for an hour and try to keep my 2 year old happy. We wandered for about 30-40 minutes and then got in line (we were third) so that the line didn't get too long. Molly just played and danced in the line and was so happy. When Santa came back he walked right by us to get to his chair and Molly was in aw of the jolly man. When it was our turn to go up she walked up the stairs and was ready to meet Santa. She sat on his lap so sweetly, then I had to step down so they could get her picture. Well if you know Molly she doesn't like to be left with strangers.... So the crying began and made for one GREAT Santa Picture that I would gladly pay for again. Santa is making the best face and Molly, well she is just plain upset. After the picture I went and grabbed her, of course she didn't want to leave and started chatting with Santa from the safety of my arms. He asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said "Bi" (Bike) and "purple baby" I guess we will have to wait and see if Santa thinks she is a good girl and brings her what she wishes. Since then you ask Molly if she saw Santa and she says " Ho Ho Ho me cany" which translates as "Santa gave me candy" I sent her picture into the Ellen show, and hope she uses it on her holiday photo segment. It is a classic Santa picture and I just LOVE it to pieces!

Gearing up for Christmas...

A few days before Thanksgiving we put the Christmas decorations up. Molly is obsessed with the tree and thinks it is "sad" when the lights are off. She is so funny and everything is such a big deal to her that it makes things so much fun. It is "magical" for her in every way and I love watching her excitement. We have a little pink princess tree for her room and then our normal tree. She got the letter "M" ornament for the tree this year and just loves it. We also have a snowman that sings and grows tall and then shrinks back down. She could push this thing 500X if I would let her.
We decided for Family night we would watch "ELF" and decorate the "hou" as Molly calls it. She was so excited about this house she picked the house over the train. She ate most of the candy, I am surprised we had enough to decorate the thing. Every time she would come to help put candy on she would swipe her finger over the icing and be happy as pie and ever so proud of herself. It is quite the gingerbread house with little finger swipes all over:) I think she loved it and now when she sees it she calls it the "cany hou" (candy house). I can't wait to see what sugar cookie adventure lays ahead with this little sugar junky! One knife of Icing+One gumball=One happy kidA little Elf watching and dancing! Don't know what the excitement is, but I LOVE this picture. She is thrilled with the work that is going on in her "cany hou"!Taking a picture with the finished house, but Molly had other plans- Frosting.....O yeah, MORE FROSTING....

This morning since we had Ally, we decided to do a craft. Now Ally wants to do crafts every day and I wanted Molly to help make hers as much as possible. We made Christmas Countdowns, they turned out pretty darn cute. I cut out all Molly's pieces, but she glued them all and then I showed her where to put them. She did a very good job! Should be interesting to see how long the chain lasts, as I don't think she will understand it only gets torn once a day. O well, it's cute and she loves it so who cares.I am so excited to get this season into full swing, this weekend Molly gets to see Santa and who knows what else we will do. I love the hot chocolate and treats that come along with this time of year and especially love watching how excited Molly gets for it all.

Baby Update:
We had our ultrasound with the specialist yesterday and Maggie still has that blasted white spot on her heart. He ruled out every big possible problem and she has a great healthy set of pipes according to her heart anyways. She is healthy, wiggly, and growing just as she should. We have another follow up right after Christmas just to make sure the spot hasn't gotten bigger. I guess he assumes it is just a thicker piece of muscle or something like that. If it gets bigger then we will have to get more testing and things like that done, but if it is still there and no change then there will be nothing more to worry about and she can just have an extra "angel kiss" a part of her forever with no problem. So we wait and see, but everyone is confidant that it is nothing to worry about. It is pretty fun to see how much bigger she gets every time.

A Great Weekend...

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year. We were with my family for the actual feast, but since both families live in the same town we usually see both on every holiday. My mom did such a great job cooking for all of us. I will admit I helped out in purchasing a pie from COSTCO-can't go wrong there, right? Clint's most favorite part of the meal was the homemade cranberry sauce. Molly's favorite was pretty much all of it. She eats everything so well, veggies, meat, fruit-EVERYTHING... I loved pretty much the treats that followed me around all weekend I swear, they were everywhere. Mom, thanks for a great Thanksgiving Feast. Courtney and Branden were able to come down which was good since they wont be here for Christmas. We also got to see Matt and Abbey and Molly is totally in love with Mya, they just make each other squeal and screech. It is pretty funny, and entertaining to watch. Clint, Abbey, Tristy, Cody, and I braved black Friday, where we saw lots of people we knew who were just as crazy as us. We got quite a few things for Christmas. I love the excitement and crazy people you get to see on Black Friday. I think Clint and I will go every year! We are excited for Christmas in just a few weeks to keep the parties happening and to see Dave, Ashley, and Zach. I love this time of year and it is making the pregnancy go by rather quickly.(January will be a whole nother story I'm afraid)
Clint got to carve the turkey, that's a pretty big job and the first time Clint got that honor..Molly cleaning her plateMolly things anything that resembles a cake is called a "dut date"(cupcake) She was in her glory and ate her whole piece. She LOVED this chocolate pieToday Grandpa Craig did every puzzle with Molly- She loves puzzles so much must take after her daddy from what I understand.More puzzle fun, she plays with these every time she is over there.

I hardly took any pictures this weekend, too busy chasing my very active 2 year old around I guess.
