We left after school got out on Tuesday, Oct. 23th... Craig rented a mini van so we could fit in one car comfortably and have room to bring extra people home. In the van we had Craig and our little family- the girls were so great on the ride I was amazed.. Maggie's only complaint was the leapster ran out of batteries and when we stopped for gas Craig spelled dont forget the b-a-t-t- she piped in "dad don't forget my batteries". It was pretty funny, they both fell asleep for a bit then we arrived, unloaded and went to bed because day one of Disney was bright and early!
Disneyland Day 1-
Oct. 24th
We got up bright and early Disney was closing at 6 so it opened at 8am and California Adventure closed at 8pm so we would do Disney first this day! We got there before anyone else and decided to hit Fantasy Land first since those lines always get long fast- As we walked in the girls were aw struck with everything to see, we first entered and saw the giant Mickey Pumpkin and needed to get a family picture in front of it for sure. Clint was less than thrilled I brought my big camera, but I made sure we lugged it along- After that picture the girls got to meet Alice and the Queen of Hearts. Then it was off to the rides, on our way up the walk all the employees were out since it had just opened telling us to have a great day at the park and waiving at us with Mickey hands. It was so inviting and a great way to start our Disney experience.
After we rode Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mr Toad (The girls hated this one along with Snow White and Pinnochio also in Fantasy Land) we headed over to Adventure Land to meet up with everyone else that was riding Space Mountain- the kids that were too little or didnt wanna go on a ride stayed with some of us while the other half went on the big rides then we switched it worked out perfectly- We happened to pick a perfect week because we basically walked onto every ride with very little wait, I think the longest we waited in line was 20 min and that was on Friday the last day we were there.
We met princesses, rode more rides and did everything in Disneyland we wanted too ending with the Mickey Soundsational Parade- which all the kids just loved and it was the perfect time to rest- after the parade we headed over to California Adventure and checked out some of the rides there. The Ariel ride was the girls favorite and I think we went on that ride at least 10 times throughout the trip and they loved it just as much every single time. Clint and I's favorite ride was the Tower of Terror, couldn't get enough of that one!
We closed out the park and headed back to the hotel with sleeping girls and tired feet ready for bed so we could hit it up strong early the next morning too!
