6 wks. Old

I can hardly believe that Maggie is 6 wks. Old already! She is getting so big she smiles like crazy and can pretty much hold her head up with a few floppies here and there. When she is ready to eat, boy is she ready to eat right that second. She is very content(unless hungry) and even then is still pretty good. She is just a very happy, alert, little baby. I think she may be going through a little growth spurt because she has been extra sleepy lately. I was comparing Molly and Maggie's stats at one month and Molly was a whole pound and inch in a half bigger than little Miss Maggie. In Maggie's defense she lost some weight when she had RSV because she just couldn't eat cuz she couldn't breath. It will be interesting to compare their 2 month stats here in a few weeks.
Maggie just after the tub- She loves the tub!
These next group of pictures is from Friday when Maggie was exactly 6 wks. old
Look how good she can hold her head up already!!!!
Here is a comparison of Molly and Maggie at 6 wks. old
They definitely look alike, but they still have their own look.I can't believe what a good comparison these pictures are. Molly is for sure chubbier, but looks to me they have the same lips and nose.. Maggie just looks more petite to me too.Look at Molly's double chin-O how I love these cute little faces.
I also wanted to post a picture of what Clint got me for my birthday- it is from here and I just love love love it. Thank you to Clint and my girls! It has each of their birthstones too-Molly(pink)Maggie(purple)!
Disclaimer: Molly is in an anti picture mood lately and turns away when its picture time, or she would rather look at the camera from behind the lens to see what we are taking pictures of.So I have not been able to get any decent pictures of the little stink for a few days...looks like I need to bribe with some candy!

Such Fun Times...

Wow, what a beautiful weekend we have had. We didn't do much Friday, but packed a lot in on Saturday. We decided to head up to Springdale/Zion with my mom and dad since my dad was going to be in the "St. Patricks Day" Parade up there to promote his and his buddies new restaraunt "The Flying Monkey" that opened up there the same day Maggie was born. My dad was driving his corvette ahead of their float a ways and wanted Molly to ride with him. She absolutely loved it and was the hit of the parade waving and saying "Hi Everybody" as they drove down the street. St. Patties is a huge deal in Springdale and everyone around comes to join in the fun and most everyone is totally decked to the "t" in green. While Clint and I were waiting for the parade to get to us we were totally entertained just people watching. After Molly was done there was still plenty of parade to go so she came and got to get LOTS of candy, it was like Halloween all over again.  Every time they threw stuff to her she giggled and ran fast to get every last piece. It was such a fun day and a great way to spend our weekend. We did the parade thing, walked around a bit, and ate lunch at the restaurant. We are planning on going back lots more and maybe next time we will actually make it into Zion and hike around.

Molly was so proud of her purple bows she was all smiles when I pulled out the camera-that is rare for her these days, she likes to hide when we pull it out.

Takin in some rays during the parade!
Now these weren't the Red Hat ladies today- No No No it was all about decking out in green on this special occasion. These ladies were right next to us and what a kick they were. Made my whole day!

Molly showin her stuff in the Parade, She was so much fun to watch!
Gathering lots of Candy
After we got home, Molly rode her bike a tiny bit-she is still trying to figure out the pedaling part. Then she busted out the chalk-She loves to color with it and eat it too-some things never change!
This is a picture of Miss Maggie this morning, she woke up all smiles and I couldn't resist snapping away with the camera. She has been smiling for about a week now, but they are happening more frequently now and I just can't get enough of that gummy smile and wrinkly little nose!

This is a compiled bunch of videos into one- 1st is Molly the other day in the car-2nd is Maggie this morning-3rd is Molly from a couple weeks ago. Enjoy!

Balding Baby....

I took some goofy pictures of the girls today, Molly wanted Maggie to ride in her baby stroller so bad and since Maggie was happy I indulged her. Ally was here today and she wanted in on the action too.  This all happened as I was getting Molly dressed and right before we did her hair to go to the park( I promise I still get her hair done) Speaking of hair: I have noticed Maggie's hair had fallen out a bit on the top, but in these pictures you can really tell, she has a balding grandpa do-  I even didn't put headbands on all that much cuz with Molly she lost all hers where the headbands were, now she has to wear one to cover the baldness. Why the heck does their hair have to fall out- Dang, Lets hope it grows back a little and soon to fill in that silly hole on my baby girls head.
My little bald baby girl... still cute as can be and getting so big!

Maggie K. is One Month Old
Here are a bunch of pictures one of my best friends Camille Ence took when Maggie was 10 days old. To see more of her work you can click here
She did such a good job and I couldn't be more thrilled with how they turned out. Thanks Camille!
I know there are lots of pictures, but I just couldn't narrow them down I love them all!
Some things about Maggie at 1 month old:
  • She is just barely getting into size 1 diapers
  • Wearing Newborn and 0-3mo clothes
  • She weighs 9 lbs. 2 oz (average about 75%)
  • She is 21 1/2 inches long (barely 50th%)
  • Can sleep through the night sometimes, if not she only wakes up once and goes right back to sleep
  • Loves to hold her head up
  • Eats like a champ and really fast too:)
  • Started to smile
  • Much more alert for longer periods of times
  • Follows us and objects with her eyes
  • Loves to watch Molly
  • Absolutely LOVES the tub!
  • Loves her Binky-a lot
  • Losing the hair on the top of her head she looks a little bald :(
  • Loves to be snuggled and likes to sleep on my chest the most
We are so glad Maggie is part of our family and I can't believe she is already a month old, it really does go way too fast. She is such a good, easy baby just like Molly was lets hope it lasts. She has such a sweet little spirit and presence about her. I am one lucky mom to have such beautiful girls.

Tubbies and Snugglies

Well, well, well.... What can I even begin to say about this week? Maggie got RSV last Friday and we have had to go to the hospital every single day since to get her suctioned out before bed time.Luckily she hasn't needed it more than that because she sneezes most of it out in the mornings. I know gross, but that's the reality of it all! So between running Molly where she needs to be so that she doesn't have to go to the hospital and getting Maggie to the hospital before shift change (because we like the day people WAY better than the ones at night) it has been just plain crazy around these parts. Not to mention we decided to tackle potty training for the millionth time with Molly- This time last year she was pretty much potty trained then she just decided she was too good for the potty. Since Clint was off this week it was the perfect time to do it. I can proudly say she has not worn ONE diaper since Sunday night, not even for bed or naps. She has not peed the bed once and today she did not have ONE accident, WAHOO!!!! Lets hope it sticks. Funny little tid bit about that is she had Cinderella panties on and I told her we need to keep Cinderella dry or she would be really sad. Well we got in a discussion and I said "Molly, what happens if you pee in your panties?" She then responded "Rella (cinderella) bite my bum hard hard, I be big trouble" Now that is what happens if she pee's Cinderella will bite her bum. She talks about it all day especially when we are driving in the car. Anyways, Maggie seems to be doing much better and goes to her dr. tomorrow for her one month well check and we will see what he has to say about her and whether she still needs to go to the hospital.

Tonight Molly asked if she could take a tubby with the baby so we did just that to a certain extent. Molly loved helping wash the baby and just chatted up a storm to Maggie as they "played" in the tub.
There is nothing I love more than clean girlies in their cozy jamies ready for bed. They smell so sweet and both my girls love to snuggle before they finally fall asleep, it is one of my most favorite things. Man these two love eachother, Maggie was fussing and I wanted to snap a picture so I put her in Molly's arms anyways and she just fell right to sleep.
Maggie has started smiling at us. She doesn't do it a whole lot just yet so I am thrilled I captured it on camera she was so bright eyed and happy today and when she smiled she squinted and her nose wrinkled. You can really tell she is starting to feel better and can finally breath without struggling that much. O she is cute and changing so much every day-
Happy Weekend!!!

Smiling and On my Toes

This has kept me smiling:

Sweet Maggie from the first of the week...
Crazy after nap hair.....
Spunky two year old who knows how to accessorize...
She loves that silly hat....Sunny Park days-3 times this week-
Molly thinking she is WAY bigger than she really is. She thinks she should be able to play on that with the big kids who go fast and knock her off and scrape up her face. O well I warned her she was too little and she insisted on trying and wanted to tray again after she fell off and got her feelings her. We need to go when its not so crowded so she can do it by herself with me pushing slowly.
This has kept me on my toes:

RSV/Bronchiolitis

Maggie got the nasty bug, we have been so careful, but she still got it. It is super scary in little babies so when she started getting congested and coughing I decided to take her to her doctor, her doctor was off so we saw his NP and he was so cute and sweet with my little baby. He thought she looked fairly well considering she did in fact have RSV. He had her swabbed to be tested for it then he had me give her a breathing treatment then he came back with the results as positive for the nasty little bug. He was pretty surprised because she wasn't struggling too hard to breath. But that sweet little bug gave us a 7 day prescription to go to the hospital to get her nose suction out so she could breath, eat, and sleep. She went Friday night and then once Saturday morning and night, I am watching her closely to see if we need to take her this morning. We have to take her every night since they get more stuffy at night and then as needed throughout the day. It is the saddest thing ever and I don't wish this on anyone. She just wants to be held, which I don't argue with of course all I wanna do is hold her and make her feel safe and happy. She has been such a trooper and we either got lucky with a mild case, or it is just the beginning we have to just wait and watch. Along with RSV she has bronchiolitis or something like that and her sweet little cry sounds like a sick kitty cat when she can actually get that much sound out. It is so so sad, and I am hoping she is on the downhill slide to recovery. Thankfully my mom has been here and able to take Molly while we run Maggie back and forth, if Molly saw what they did she would totally freak, so we keep her in the dark. She just tells me "my baby sick" and "babies nose is yuck yuck yuck"

Waiting at the doctors office:
Breathing Treatment wasn't too bad, she just stared all around and was calm the whole time
They have to watch their chest and check their oxygen before and after the suctioning, luckily Maggie's gets better after they suction so we have stayed away from an admission to the hospital so far at least....
The pulsomiter I think is what its called or something like that they hook up to her the whole time to make sure shes okay and not too totally stressed out by the whole ordeal. Which she screams the whole time and I am the one that has to hold her head straight so they can clean her out.
More assessments....
This is Maggie this morning sleeping peacefully with not too labored of breathing, here's to hoping we don't have to go in until tonight....
This is the added bonus to my day, this cute little girl loves church and getting dressed up pretty. She is so hyper today and I just love how happy she is. Makes for a much brighter day!
