We had a rather busy yet fun weekend. There was no school Fri. or Mon. so we had lots of time to play with no normal responsibilities.
Friday the girls and I went with my mom to the Arts Festival, the girls had a good time and loved getting a snow cone! It started out chilly, but ended up getting quite hot, but all in all a fun day- the rest of the night we just hung out at home!
Saturday morning we were up and at em to get to the Easter Egg Hunt on time at 9 cuz we all know they last all of 1 min. if that and if your late well then you missed it! So we got ready and out the door and there with about 10 min. to spare-perfect! The girls had a blast, Molly liked this one much more with some coaxing she went off and gathered her eggs. Maggie had no probably remembering what this was all about and went for it! They were so proud of themselves. Then we went to see Broadhead's for a bit and then we headed into town to get a few things. That night "Grandma Grape" had come into town for the night, so the girls and I went to see her for a bit while Clint went to work.
After Clint went to work the girls and I went to my moms so she could give them their Easter presents. You would have thought the world stopped when these little girls saw they got "giant" LalaLoopsy... Maggie was so happy with her little "baby" one which she named "Spot" and Molly absolutely LOVES hers- it sleeps with her, eats with her, rides in the seat belt with her and so on which in turn Maggie has to have hers do the same things as Molly's! Molly's name is "Coco" and Molly tells people her name is "Coco-Sprinkle, Chocolate, Sundae" or something to that nature anyways!
Sunday we got up early to head to church at 9 since church was so early the Easter Bunny came after! The girls looked so adorable in their Easter Dresses, we went outside and had took some pictures right before church- First they needed to get their silly picture before they would give me their sweet "Ballerina smiles" It was nice to have church first thing in the morning to really remember that Easter is all about our Savior and not eggs and bunnies! It really set the mood for the rest of the day!
-They sure looked beautiful in those Easter ensembles silly faces and all!
The Easter Bunny did not disappoint- he spilled the M&Ms again, which seams to be a favorite thing for the girls and the first thing they tell people. Each girl got some new sandals, swimsuit, outfit, bubbles, coloring book, and some candy- they got a big thing of chalk to share- Molly got the Lalaloopsy Ferris Wheel which she has been wanting for forever, and Maggie got the LalaLoopsy Choo Choo Train and a new Lalaloopsy since the train didn't come with one and Molly's did... To say they were thrilled would be an understatement - we are all about Lalaloopsy right now and it is okay with me- they got some money from my dad and we asked what they were going to buy with it and you guessed it "LalaLoopsy"
After we did the Easter Bunny my family came over to the house My mom, her sister Jill's family,Marissa and Brett and Grandma Grape and Grandpa Kent all came over to have dinner of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Home made Fried Chicken made by Grandma Grape and Salads, Fruit, Chips- and at the end everyone got to decorate their own sugar cookie- It was really fun and even more fun we could host at our house since we have grass now! The kids had yet another Easter Egg hunt where the Grandma's put money in an egg for each kid- Molly loves playing with her "friends" as she calls them and Maggie was just content to eat and socialize with the adults!

Watching Bugs
Cody took the girls on the tramp before the party started- Maggie was LOVING this!
Sweet Molly waiting for her turn...
Getting ready to not eat the cookie, but lick the frosting off and go back for more frosting 2 more times before we had to put a stop to that...Look at those rosy cheeks- couldn't have asked for better weather for a party!
Monday my friend Kim invited us to the Splash Pad- the girls had a blast and loved playing with Kim's Nieces and Nephew- Molly was way braver than she has been at a splash pad yet, so I call that a success! Maggie's swim suit got wet and she came to me and said "Mommy, my shimshute is all wet, tate it off please" I don't think she knew it was suppose to be wet, silly girl! She warmed up to the idea and later found her hat in the swim bag and thought she was pretty special-
Look at Molly girl right in the center of the splash pad- she sure is a social thing and LOVES to play with kids even if she has never met them before she is ready to be their best friend and gives her whole heart into being a nice girl and being friends with everyone!
Cute little babes in their new swim suites- I love littles in swimsuits I can hardly believe we are so close to summer break- I can see many many more days at splash pads and pools-Can't wait and neither can the girls!
To say our extended weekend was a blast would be accurate, but with that comes complete exhaustion for both us and the girls- We got home changed their clothes and as I was going through the mail Maggie fell right asleep at the counter- Rosy little cheeks and sweet red lips- I'd call our Easter weekend a hug success!
