m&m Mondays...

 

Molly:

1* This picture above is from when we were putting away laundry she wanted to help so we asked her to fold the towels and lay them nicely- she folded all these herself and then set them up accordingly- She was so proud of herself and helped us put a lot of other stuff away- So excited she can help more in the house!

2* When she gets kinda naughty and says she doesn't like me or we are not friends I tell her I will just call the mom store and she can have a new mom-she does NOT like this and changes her ways really quickly and follows with a "You the best mom in the whole world" "Mother, you are so cute"-smooth Molly real smooth!

3* She is really catching onto the sight words we have been working on- I have not really wanted to push it on her till she wanted to work on them and she is doing awesome.

4* She has just learned how to work the computer and play some games on pbs kids- it is like a special treat for her if she does what she is suppose to or is extra nice.

5* She was in a gymnastics funk, but now has decided she really likes it and wants to keep at it so keep at it we will..

6* The most random songs will come on the radio and Molly just starts belting them out word for word and totally takes me off guard every time

Maggie:

1* Since my nice camera went whacky I have had to use my little point and shoot and it has a flash like no one would believe and without fail when I am taking a picture of Maggie I can take 20 and maybe 2 have her eyes open- It is so annoying and some really cute pictures look like the one above-boo!

2* After she gets dressed she brushes her shirt straight and says " How do me look" "Do it look cute"

3* Out of no where in the car today she said " Mom I gotta question of you" I replied and she said " My daddy is so so handsome huh?" Talk about melting my heart!

4* When she starts playing something she is all in- her every move has to do with what she is playing, babies, la la loopsy, guys, anything she is in it 100% until she is done playing it cracks me up.

5* If a song comes on that she likes or Molly likes she will say "Dis is my most favorite song, right mom?" or "Wow, this is Nomley's (molly) favorite song huh?"

6* If she has clothes on she really likes she will take them off before she eats so they don't get dirty

Wrappin up July...

We have been busy being not busy this past month, it seems like there is always somewhere to go, but nothing really big to get done- mostly lots of playing I guess...

 We have had lots of friends come over and play...

 Went to a 24th of July Parade- When candy came and there was only one piece that Molly got Maggie was shocked there was only one I told her there would be more, but her face went from happy to sad in a matter of seconds and she was clearly upset she didn't get a piece of candy like Molly-so sad!

 Swam at Sadie's birthday party- Halli was so good and played  with my girls the whole time she even  got Molly to jump into her in the deep end..

 Molly had a few birthday parties this past week and this one was from a "kitty" party they got faces like cats, ears, and a tail to wear home- Molly loved it again Maggie was heart broken she couldn't go to the party she kept saying "Mom, Im ready to go to the party now, lets get ready" "Mom, is it time to go to the party?" and then when I broke it to her it was just Molly going she got the most broken heart all over again-its tough being little!

 We have some dirt on the side of our house we are going to put rocks on and in the mean time the girls are having loads of fun playin in the dirt!

m&m Mondays...

 

Molly:

1* This girl has been extra snuggly lately and is always asking that I lay, sit, stand, by her or that I just give her one little tiny kiss and a love.

2* We attempted to take the training wheels off her bike, but she is not quite ready to balance and get it all going together so we will practice a little more before we try again.

3*She is not loving gymnastics as much as she did at first, whenever it is time for them to do the bar she has a little panic attack it is pretty sad, we are going to try it for a couple more months then decide whether she wants to keep going or try something else.

4* She can not wait for school to start and got to pick out some clothes and her back pack- I am not going to lie I was feeling sad she couldn't go to Kindergarten yet because of the deadline and ALL her friends are, but really I am excited she gets to be home one extra year before she turns into a real live big kid!

5* She is the most social kid I know and loves to play or be with friends/grandma's she will go up to kids she doesn't even know and treat them like they are her best friends. I love this about her, I don't worry about her making friends when she goes to pre-school this year or the years to come.

Maggie:

1* This kid cracks me up, she started the "help me Flynn Ryder"(from Tangled) a month or so ago and is still doing it even when she needs help in the bathroom or getting something, anything she might need help with she says "Help my Flynn Ryder" then I help her and she says in the most serious voice and tone "Thank yous o much Flynn Ryder you saved me"

2* She is so excited to start ballet in a few weeks..

3* She saw that Molly got a new back pack for school and it broke her heart we didnt get her one so we picked her one up at the store today and she wore it the whole time then made Clint let her pay for it and then carried the bag they put it in the whole way to the car and told me "Dont forget my super cute pack pack mom, its the best"

4* She seems to be getting so much more grown up and idependant, she is not one to go in the playroom and just play she likes to play where I am and this past week she has been playing a lot on her own, mostly babies and loopsy's and I love listening to her talk to her toys.

5* She  is becoming ever more attached to her blanket than ever before- she has always had to sleep with her blanket, but now she has to have it in the car and when we go anywhere- we leave it in the car, but if I forget it that is all I hear about. 

Grandma Grapes house....

I have been trying to get up to my grandma's all summer and it has just never worked out! So when my mom was going to go up to help her friend with a wedding I took the chance to go and have help in the car cuz Maggie is NOT the best traveler in fact she is a crappy traveler so if I can have help I am gonna take it! We went up on Wed. afternoon and came back Sun. afternoon- if Molly didn't have gymnastics and things this week we would have stayed an extra week.

There is just something about Grandma Grapes house that is just magical it is on a farm in a tiny town where everyone knows everyone and it is just fun. 

Every morning while we are there the girls go out on the deck in jamies, jackets, boots and hot chocolate! It is just so peaceful and happy there we all just love it. Mon. after we got home Molly said "Mom, I've been thinking lets just move to Ferron with Grandma Grape, she won't mind" If only it were that easy right!

Both my girls loves this wooden bear my grandma has- Maggie carried it around with her everywhere fed it some snacks and put chapstick on its lips.

My Grandpa took Molly on a tractor ride from one of the fields and Molly actually drove the tractor by herself. When I went out to meet them and take their picture his hands were just holding her and she was steering by herself. She thought she was pretty cool!

This is from the wedding my mom was helping with- If I could have stolen this door I totally would have she had another one, but we didn't have a way to get it home or it would have a permanent place at my house! I am not sure what Mag is doing in this picture, but Molly looked pretty darn cute!

While in Ferron it is a must to go to the "Grub Box" It is the only restaurant in town and it is the best- the girls know when we go to Ferron we must make a stop here. The girls favorite was the rootbeer freeze.

The beauty of Ferron is we have 2 grandma's that live there so we always get to go see Grandma Snow too- the girls had a blast at her house watching the humming birds, picking crab apples to throw and eating the cream center out of a dozen cookies and leaving the cookie part behind!

We took lots of 4-wheeler rides and saw baby horses/ a mama deer and her twin babies and even a coyote!

During the summer we get to help grandpa change the water to water the alfalfa and oats. Molly is just the age that she can actually tag along and "help" Grandpa out- She was so proud to be out there with Gramps and Mag was happy to ride on the 4-wheeler to and from with him as well.

 

This was our last night, the girls thought they would put on a dance/gymnastics show for everyone-

All tuckered out after a fun week- Mag would not settle down to sleep after Molly was already asleep I took her out to sit with Grandma grape while I hoped in the shower when I came back they were both sound asleep on the chair-priceless!

We had the best time I wish we could make it up there more than once a summer-Grandma has to get knee surgery the end of the month or we would be going up one more time before school starts. It seriously is one of my most favorite places and now one of my kids as well. We love going to Grandma Grapes on the farm!

m&m Mondays...

 

Molly:

1* We just got back from a trip to my grandma's "Grandma Grapes" house and today Molly said "You know mom, I've been thinking-lets just move to Ferron with Grandma Grape"

2* If she wants to bug or tease Maggie she licks her and Maggie freaks out and Molly runs away laughing

3* When she eats sandwiches she takes them apart and then eats them

4* If her shoes are on the wrong feet and we tell her she says "Well, I just wanted them on the wrong feet"

5* She has asked me everyday to do her hair in one braid with a yellow ribbon like "Jessie" on Toy Story-I have to talk her out of it cuz I am a little sick of the single braid thing she has in her head.

Maggie:

1* This kid does not shut up EVER- she is constantly talking or jabbering or just making noise or moving-she is busy busy all the time and chats like no ones business

2* She is always bringing me my phone and telling me to call someone so she can talk usually it is Grandma Grape who she asks to call

3* She hates when Molly teases and licks her as mentioned above!

4* Whenever it is time to get dressed not only does she pick out her clothes, but if we try to help her she says "I just do it myself" and when she does it she says "Look I did it myself I awesome"

5* She still is needing her nap every day for about 2 hours and it is going to be sad when that ends-luckily she asks to go for a nap and takes them willingly for now anyways!

Painting...

I had been wanting one of these picnic tables for the girls from Costco and just never wanted to actually buy one when it came down to it! One day we had to take back some strawberries that were mooshy to Costco and while we were wandering around waiting for Clint to return them we stumbled across the tables and they were on clearance so we snatched it up and off we went. As soon as we got home the girls were eager to set it up- it was not time to eat or anything so we decided to break it in by painting out on the patio- The girls had a blast and ask every day if we can eat or do a craft on our cute little new table!

Band-Aids...

I was getting ready in my bathroom and Mag usually is right with me so after a few minutes I thought I had better go check on her since it was really quiet and she was not watching a show with Molly. I found her in the kitchen with all the band-aid boxes we have opening them  and putting them on her "owies" apparently she had lots of owies because she used all the band-aids! Instead of getting mad I just snapped some pictures and told her next time to ask me for a band-aid instead of using them all! Molly thought it was funny and decided to join in the very last second and add a few band-aids to her "owies"! Gosh these 2 keep me on my toes, but I love it so much!

m&m Mondays...

Both the pictures are of the girls from last July and this July- what a difference a year can make! Both my babies are growing up way too fast!

 

Molly:

1* I was complaining about something and she looked at me and said "O your life is so hard"

2* She loves to go to her grandma's houses and could stay there for hours when I come to get her she says "I am not done playing can you leave and come back later"

3* Totally surprised me with swimming after we went twice this week- Kyle told her she could reach in the 3ft and from then on she was a jumping fool with no floaties or holding hands just climbs out jumps in goes under swims to the steps and repeats about 100x while we are there! Her confidence skyrocketed for some reason and if you ask her who taught her how to swim she will tell you it was Kyle.

4* The fireworks totally freaked her out if they were too close to us she screamed and cried during the finale'

5* She gets so excited when we have treats and watch a movie together on a blanket-it might be one of her favorite things.

1* I don't know what it is but this little lady has re-stole my heart! She has always been my more challenging child and I think she has just transformed over night- she is still crazy and way clingy, but she is just so content and pleasant- I don't know what it was but I am welcoming it and falling more in love every second.

2* She goes around singing "Happy Valentines day to you" in the Birthday song tune

3* When I am on the phone or she is just being silly in the car she will talk really loud or sing really loud and repeat the same words REALLY loud for all to hear it is hard not to laugh.

3* She only eats the frosting off cookies, do-nuts, and cake

4*She has to get in the car from Molly's side and climb over to her seat

5* Her hair is getting so long and still super curly-when it is in pig tails it curls on its own and is the cutest- we were even able to get some pig tail braids in her hair its that long!
