Maggie K. is 2 1/2 Years old..

Sweet Maggie K. is now 2 1/2 years old (on Aug.12th)  I know we always say it, but I can not believe she is now closer to 3 than 2 yrs. old. Molly was already a big sister at this point so she seemed so much older than Maggie does- Mag is still my baby, well in my mind anyway! She is growing up so fast and she is really sweet and funny.

My mom picked up them some clothes while she was up north and Maggie laid them all out on the floor nicely and then stacked them all in a pile-she did this at least 5 times- She LOVES clothes!

When Molly got her hair cut, Mag just got a little trim- when I was blowing out Molly's with a round brush to see if it would hold up(it didn't) Maggie needed her hair blown out and round brushed too! She sat right up on the sink and giggled the whole time I was doing it- she thought her hair was the most beautiful thing ever and has asked me several times to "blowed dryder hair with pink circle brush" She loves it and sits so tall and happy the whole time! I have never blown her hair out cuz it is so curly...

This purple dress up dress has become a staple, I am lucky if I get her out of it when we have to leave-she has worn it on occasion out to Clint's school and Grandma Janet's luckily no where else yet, but I am sure it will come that is not a battler I really care to fight and who cares she is 2!

Maggie's Sight Words...

I have way more pictures of Maggie with her eyes closed than open, that is besides the point I guess... I was making Molly some sight word cards to help her with her reading and Maggie kept seeing Molly's and asking where hers were and kept telling me she needed her sight words too.. So I decided to make her some ABC cards with upper and lower case letters on them. She thinks they are the coolest thing and looks at them multiple times daily. She thinks she needs to be just like Molly. She looks up to her so much and if Molly has it she needs it too so we try to accomidate her on occasion..She says to me "Mom, my sight words mate me so much smart"

Uncle Ky Ky goes to College....

We have not been looking forward to when Kyle left for College, serious he just got back from his mission (well over a yr ago!) But he needed to go away for school and as sad as we are to see him leave us here he is going to have a blast away too we are just sad we can't go on Ice Cream dates anymore and the girls LOVE to play with uncle Kyle on Sundays when we go over for dinner so thats been a bit sad, but we are happy for him and knew we couldn't keep him home forever!
The night before he left he came over for games and Molly had gone in the room to watch a show when Maggie came out with pony tail holders and a brush to do Kyle's hair- first thing for business she wanted Kyle to put her hair in a pony and with a little coaching from me he completed his first ever pony tail- Maggie was pleased as punch! After that she had me help her put one in Kyles hair and thought that was pretty cool they both had ponies. After a while she grabbed the brush and started combing and primping his hair she was so concentrated and was taking it very seriously!
Thanks so much Ky for letting her play beauty shop on you- you made her one happy girl and we can't wait for you to come home and visit!

 Two peas in a pod.....
Just for fun- these are pictures of the Maggie and Ky meeting for the first time right when he came home from the mission- not that long ago, but look how much they have both changed-

So far this month...

We have been spending lots of time at home because Magster got pretty sick she had a fever of over 103' took her to insta care where they said she had Hand Foot Mouth and I was bummed cuz we were to be quarantined for 2 weeks and that would be the last 2 weeks of summer-boo! She didn't act like she had HFM so I called her real doc and they had her come right in and said she did not have HFM but just a yucky cold virus- she is barely starting to act herself after 2 full weeks of grumpy, sick, Maggie!
Now she is more like this and I am so glad to have my happy crazy Maggie doo back!
Picnic of Jimmy Johns, cheetos, grapes and oreos I would say thats a pretty good picnic inside cuz it was so dang hot out!

Sweet Molly girl is growing up right before my eyes I can hardly believe she is getting so big she will be 5 in just a few months and starts her second yr. of pre-school in a couple weeks. She is getting more sweet and sassy all at the same time and learning so much and gets so proud of the new things she can do!

The other day I came into the kitchen to find Mag with the sleeve or Oreo's helping herself she ate the WHOLE sleeve!
Maggie has also been so good about playing by herself instead of being right under my feet all the time- this is her tea party she recently had..

One little shirt...

I happened to pull this shirt out of a box for Mag to grow into and she saw it and wanted to wear it immediately, I washed it and hung it up towards the back of her closet and she just kept getting it out to wear I caved and it actually fit her pretty good a little long, but she can wear it lots I guess- It also reminded me of the time Molly had the same shirt on when she was just barely older than Maggie is now, and Mag had a matching onesie that I had made. It brought me back to this time when if they matched I would always make sure I took a picture and Molly was so sweet to hold her little sister tight while we took the picture.  Kinda made me sad in a lot of ways-
1: Maggie is already big enough to wear clothes Molly wore when Maggie was born
2: Molly was so stinkin little it seems in this picture and she is now nearing 5 yrs old.
3: My little babies are not longer babies especially my baby

They are getting so big and I can hardly believe it- I don't know why it was this shirt, cuz Mag wears quite a bit of Molly's old clothes, but for some reason it tugged at my heart strings- Maggie was so excited when I told her Molly wore this shirt when she was her age, she just beamed with pride that she was wearing something her big sister wore! She told me we needed to take a picture like Molly's so we had a little photo shoot-

Just a little Blush...

Molly knew we were going to Sadie's birthday party and I told her we needed to get ready in a half hour- 20 min. later she came into my room and said, " I am going to go get ready for the party, I don't need your help ok" So I just let her do her thing and was curious to see what she would come up with- I had my back turned when she came out and she came behind me and said "How do I look mom, does it look so cute, I did a good job huh?" I was shocked to turn and see this cute face smiling at me she said "That's ok that I used the ballet make-up right? Cuz it is just so perfect for the party" She had also got Maggie ready for the party, but chose the light pink blush instead- She was being so sweet and so proud of herself and kept looking at herself in the mirror with the biggest smile on her face.

Now, I actually wrote this before today-so I thought I would add this to todays post- I was talking on the phone with Molly's Preschool this morning and she walks in the kitchen looking like this and I seriously laughed out loud right on the phone and had to get off quick or I would have lost it! I rushed her to take a picture while I was dying laughing- She said "Mom, how do I look, does it just look beautiful?" I didn't know how to respond! I told her she looked great and we needed a picture...After she kept looking at herself in the mirror a million times she said "Mom, I think I need to look like this for Halloween" - I think your right Mol, I don't think you got enough blush on this time girl! She is the raddest kid ever and totally cracks me up. I am smitten bu this cute little face even if it looks like she has spent too much time in a tanning bed! Totally love her!

Worms...

My girls have had a new found love with digging in the dirt- they were out front while I was picking up the house and Molly had in and asked if I could rescue her little worm from the dirt and pick it up so she could try to hold it! She had found about 3 worms 2 tiny ones and one big one and named them as follows: "wormy" "rainbow" "daddy worm" I thought she would wig out if she did indeed hold it so I offered it to Maggie first and Maggie loved it and thought it tickled on her hands so Molly wanted to try! They were sad when I told them we needed to put them back and leave them alone.
