This year the Live Nativity was going on and my little brother Cody happened to be playing the role of Joseph so we had to go. He actually had the same part last year and this year his ward was doing again this night and he got the same part. Of course the one night he is in it is the coldest it has been all month. The girls were so excited to go and could hardly wait by asking me every hour if it was time to go to the "Tivity" as Molly called it. Before it started we got to meet Santa once again number 5 I think this season. Maggie jumped right up and snuggled into him he even kissed her head, she didnt want to get off his lap. Molly as usual didnt wanna get on his lap, but just before we left she walked up and talked to him.
The Nativity did not disappoint and brought the true meaning of Christmas to our hearts just in time for Christmas to come. I think watching it live helps the little girlies know what it truly is about and how the story goes. My mom and I decided we are going to try and go each year as a new tradition. Clint was going to come but started to not feel well so he stayed home. It had been raining all day so it was freezing and our chairs were even wet. We were sure to have the girls bundled up and had blankest for our laps. Cody did a great job as Joseph and Maggie especially thought he was pretty big stuff up there. Both girls loved the live animals goats, donkey, bunnies, and camel that were part of it as well. Molly was very quiet just taking it all in. We went and got a treat after and when we got home the girls crashed. So glad we have this new tradition to continue on to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas.
